untitled

the screen of my heart
is now being occupied
by your picture;
making it beams
like the rays of rising sun
that peeps through
every hole
and strike a surface therein.

LESSON; LIFESTYLE

You were born in a first class hospital, I was delivered at
home, we both survived.
You went to a private primary school and I went to a public
school, we both ended in the same high school.
You woke up from the bed and I woke from the floor, we
both had a peaceful night rest.
Your outfits are all expensive, mine are all simple and
cheap, we both still cover our nakedness.
You ate fried rice and roasted chicken, I ate local made
food but we both still ate to our satisfaction.
You ride on Lexus jeep, Range Rover, G Wagon, Hummer
Jeep and I use public transport but we still got to our
various destination.
You may be reading this post from your Sony xperia, BB
Z10, Q10, Samsung Galaxy 6edge, IPhone6+ and I typed it
with my Touch one broken screen, we still see the
message.
Lifestyle is not a competition and there are different ways
to get a lot of things done, different lanes all leading to the
same destination. Just because your neighbour is doing
things faster does not mean you are failing.
Happiness doesn’t come from having everything, but
making the best out of what you have, it’s all about how
you see yourself.
Happiness is not having what you like. Happiness is liking
what you have and being content.

One mistake that will hunt you forever: An Open Letter To The Excutive Governor Of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Your Excellency sir.

I write this particularly to draw your attention to the effect of giving a way to the seemingly apparent pressure and calls by some ‘elements’ in or outside your fold to scrap the most welcomed programme ever initiated by your predecessor.

Your Excellency, a good deal or rather more than majority of parents, guardians, bread-winners as well as self-sponsors were anything happy with the unexpected declaration of FREE EDUCATION for all Kanawa by His Excellency, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the earstwhile governor of Kano. Moreover, the development have amply encouraged those that were then out of school for one reason or the other to resume schooling.

Your excellency, i want to make it clearer to you that a countless number of such youth were jobless. The situation which if not with the introduction of such schemes and other youth empowerment programmes could lead them to taking to an arrant, social vices such as theft, robbery, cultism, kidnapping, drug abuse and drug trafficking just to mention a few from the lots. And this, as you know would not do good to the state and to the whole country by extension. Therefore, they gladly gave a warm welcome to the programme and kept on their studies.

With due respect sir, I would like you to turn a blind eye and succumb not to all sort of calls and pressure for the cancellation of this “FREE EDUCATION” programme.

Any insistance sir, I am sorry to say, would unavoidably ruin your chances of being reelected as a governor of Kano come 2019. Because the match will be between talakawa and you.
And this, God forbid, will mark the end of Kwankwasiyya movement Kano.

Sincerely,
Kabeer Yusuf.
